- Joshua Quick volunteered to become the orchard project co-ordinator, wrote a management plan which advised that the orchard was to be maintained using the design principles of Forest gardening.
- There were a few large volunteer work parties to clear around the trees.
- Further native trees donated by Steeple Woodland group (originally donated by E-forests) and grown from seed by Rupert Manley were planted on the border of the orchard.
- Rupert Manley continued to promote the future formation of a Nature Reserve on Penbeagle Hill towards Carnstabba Hill to ensure it remains in its current wild and natural state. Penbeagle is derived from ‘Penn’ head, top and ‘begel’ hillock, tump, so it means ‘top of the hill’.
