We invited the community to come and help us harvest the apples and celebrate the equinox on Friday 23rd Sept from 4pm. Such a great afternoon, with good food, good music, plenty apples picked and the amazing opportunity to have a go on a trapeze. Children and adults got very busy picking the apples, the orchard has been very fruitful this year and it was definitely our largest crop. Signs were put up on some trees to say to leave the apples on the trees for apple day which is the following Sunday. These apples are going to be pressed by by St Ives Cider to make cider and apple juice but have also been used to make jam, chutneys and dried apple.
Sky High Arts came along to the orchard to offer a free outdoor trapeze session and the kids loved this so much.
We had local musician Charlie Scott with superb guitar & vocals and the Catatumbo Band performing their own renditions of popular Venezuelan traditional songs and infectious Latin rhythms with a Cornish twist
