We celebrated the Summer Solstice on Saturday the 22nd June, the longest day of the year, with live music, poetry, story telling, crafty activities and a treasure hunt. There was also a big plant swap in the CORE with a large selection of seeds from @seedsofstives.
Global Jamming hosted the Apple Jam Stage providing an opportunity for young and upcoming artist to perform on the stage and to learn about organising live music events.
The talented musicians who performed included Tom & the Gremlin, Silvie Nicol, Leila Novarrez, Jess Borders, Jacob Wheeler, Sienna, Imogen & Summer.
Additionally, three great bands, The Payne Killers, Jack O’ Hearts and The Regalos took to the stage.
The Core was open with hot drinks, food and performances of jazz piano, poetry and story telling and the Orchard bar was serving it’s own Orchard cider & The Mine Brewing Company ale.
Special thanks to all our volunteers who worked so hard making teas and coffees, donating cakes, serving cakes, making pizzas, working on the bar, running craft stalls, performing, setting up and packing down. An amazing community effort!
Big thanks to Global Jamming for organising an incredible line up of music throughout the whole event.
A huge thank you to Tesco for funding this event.
