Join us for our annual celebration of apples with apple picking & pressing, apple pie competition, apple games, live music & nature crafts. There will also be hot food, pizza, tea, cakes, and the bar will be open, serving our Orchard cider and local beers. Bring a bag to take home some apples!
Apple Pie & Dessert Competition – Win an Apple Trophy & lunch for 2 at the Core Cafe. There are 2 categories:
Apple Pie: Can be a tart or pie, must only include apple and pastry, plus optional sugar & spices. Or Apple Dessert: Can be pastry or cake based and may include apples with any other ingredients. (No apple ice cream/ mousse etc). Entries to The Core by 3pm,🕒Winner announced 5pm. Leftovers are sold to support the event (If baker agrees)
Live bands this year are:
- Jimbino Vegan & the Jazz Criminals, This wonderfully entertaining London-based band perform original songs inspired by New Orleans jazz, folk, reggae, rap and punk, combining storytelling, humour and plenty of energy. Jimbino’s music is rooted in bringing people together and celebrating everyday life.
- The Tinner’s Ceilidh Band A local favourite band playing traditional Irish & Scottish tunes and leading the audience in ceilidh dancing. Should be lots of fun.
- Dreckly Unchained – a St Ives community band connected to Global Jamming that play original songs and instrumentals, blending local themes with a mix of styles like Celtic, Latin, and global folk. Musicians: Gavin Nicol, Sylvie Nicol and Kari Prince.
- Leon Andrews & Brody Barden – local musicians on keyboard and guitar.
- Tom Harding – Performer/ Producer/ Pianist/ Eccentrician. Singer and pianist in The Devil’s Company.
