CORE-Us! Singing Workshops and the Changing World / Future Dreaming Project

Participants in the CORE-Us sessions this autumn will have the opportunity to take part in the Tate St Ives and University of Exeter ‘Changing World / Future Dreaming’ project. St Ives Community Orchard is a partner in the project.

The project aims to bring together nature, art, culture, community, research, policy and practice to creatively explore positive solutions to the health impacts of climate change.

Further details will be shared at the CORE-Us sessions, but the project includes an invitation and opportunity to develop new compositions exploring the project’s themes at a free creative workshop for singers and local community members at the Orchard on Thursday 8 October (morning).

We will learn and sing the new compositions at the October and November CORE-Us sessions alongside other beautiful songs, continuing the CORE-Us! approach: singing in harmony with nature and each other.

You are also invited to join in two other related free events that are part of the Changing World / Future Dreaming project:

  • presenting the new songs at a project event at the Orchard on Wednesday November 25 th 2026 (morning)
  • performing the new songs (alongside other of our CORE-Us songs) at the Tate Gallery as part of the Winter Festival day on Sunday 29th November 2026 (time to be confirmed).

We will ask you to ‘sign up’ for either or both of these two events so that we know who is available.
So, you would be very welcome to join us for all or some of these events and activities, but if you just fancy coming along to CORE-Us! for relaxed sessions singing beautiful unaccompanied harmony songs in good company (with a tea break and refreshments) – thats fine too.
