You’ll be able to have a go at pressing apples yourself on an apple press and get a chance to drink the fresh juice, please bring along any spare apples you haveSt Ives Cider will also be there with mulled & normal cider for sale.

Josh from Wild St Ives will be taking anyone interested in a short foraging walk to show people what sort of things can be eaten in the wild.

The Leach pottery team will be there with a foot-powered pottery wheel giving people a go at making clay pots.

There will also be lots of pizza being baked on site in our newly built Earth / Cob oven.

Plus crafts stalls with handmade produce for sale. If you would like a stall, please get in touch. info@stivesorchard.co.uk

The St Ives Community Orchard team have much to celebrate this year at Apple day. Thriving fruit trees, much less brambles & bracken, a steadily growing volunteer base, a recently built Earth oven for baking & Pizza making, a very busy beehive and almost a new shed. (presently being built)

We also need volunteers to help out on the day, please let us know if you can help us with any of the following things.

  • helpers to run the tea & cake stand
  • cake donations for us to sell
  • help at the campfire / earth oven cooking area
  • kids activities like den building, apple bobbing, games etc . Suggestions welcome.
  • musicians (looking for volunteers to entertain us with their musical talents)

See film of our Apple day last year.

I've been helping look after the orchard since 2014 and think we are all extremely lucky to have something like this to share & enjoy in our own neighbourhood.
