Our bees

We have put 2 beehives into our community orchard. Duwayne built both the beehives, one is a Kenyan top bar hive and the other, a Warre Hive. Both have top bars which are quite different from the conventional frame beehives. The bees create the comb from the top bars like they would in the wild. […]
