Find us

St Ives Community Orchard entrance and Nature Reserve is an open-access space free for anyone to enjoy any time.

We are between the Palemon Best Recreational park / Skatepark and the Industrial Estate.
Penbeagle Lane, St Ives, TR26 2HS, Cornwall. 5 minutes walk from the Leach Pottery.

To find us, if you are going along the Stennack Road that leads in and out of St Ives, turn up Penbeagle lane from the Firestation / Leach Pottery and half way up you will see the Palemon best recreation park on your right.

Walk straight up the lane directly opposite the road entrance. Follow the signs to the Skatepark, but turn left directly after the metal gate and follow the path up.

To find the CORE building, when you see the first apple trees, turn left, you'll see the building then. Alternatively you can walk up Penbeagle lane, there is a path along the verge.

Getting there: Parking / Public Transport
As we are close to town we ask visitors to come on foot, bike or by local bus to the orchard.
There is a small carpark close by that fits max 6 cars and this is often full.
The St Ives Buses stop at Leach Pottery which is 5 min walk away.
The closest carpark is the St John in the Fields Church on the Stennack which is a 10 min walk. £5 per day
Taxi from alongside the St Ives Cinema.  Ace Cars: 01736 797799 (£5-7)
Walking from town Royal Square: allow 30mins up, 20mins back.
Please respect local neighbours by not parking in the residential area.

Accessibility
The CORE building has full wheelchair accessibility and is linked to a beautiful accessible teaching garden.
The orchard however is on a hill and has pathways laid with wood chippings so is more tricky to access. Wheelchair users have often come up to the top where our events are held with helping hands giving that extra push.
One parking space is available at the CORE through prior arrangement for those with limited mobility.
If we can support your access in anyway, please shout.
