On 1st October 2017, Lee Skeet, Peter Sanchez- Iglesias, Josh Eggleton and Tom Brown all cooked up an incredible meal for 40 people in the Black Rock Restaurant. None of them were paid to do it and all travel and ingredient costs came from their own pockets so every penny taken went to the new skatepark. The tickets were sold out in a couple of hours after advertising them and David Symons from The Black Rock Restaurant provided the venue and alcohola was provided by Dead Man's Fingers, StIves Brewery & Jubël, all at no charge.
This was all organised & advertised by Lee Skeet of Lee Skeet Supper Clubs, who also ran an incredible raffle with loads of amazing prizes all donated from various businesses in and around St Ives. Thank you so much to Lee Skeet Supper Clubs for organising this very successful & enjoyable dinner as well as organising an incredible raffle and raising £4200 for our new skatepark.
Peter Sanchez- Iglesias, Josh Eggleton and Tom Brown are all world class, Michelin starred chefs who either flew down from London or drove down from Bristol inbetween their hectic schedule. They all did it on special request from Lee Skeet to help raise money for a new skatepark for our local kids.
Special thanks too, to Sam Basset, Joshua Quick, Kaileigh Cornfield who all gave their own time to help out, and the legendary Emily Weaver who ran the entire fully booked evening with baby Cora in a sling on her front!! Thanks also to all the people who supported by buying raffle & dinner tickets. You are all wonderful. Already this has inspired others in the community to put on other events to raise funds for our skatepark.
